Privacy policy

Short version: the LinkTender plugins check links on your own server. Your posts and your link data are never sent to us. This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. For Pro licences we keep only what is needed to make the licence work.

1. Who is responsible

The controller is LinkTender, an independent service, reachable at support@getlinktender.com. Identifying details of the controller are provided on request to anyone entitled to them.

2. The free plugin

The free LinkTender plugin sends no data to us or to anyone else. Its outgoing requests are the link checks themselves, which go to the addresses found in your content. When a check fails at the network level, it may send one HEAD request to wordpress.org (at most every 10 minutes) to find out whether your server is online; no data is sent with it. All results are stored in your own WordPress database.

3. LinkTender Pro

LinkTender Pro additionally connects to our licence server to activate, refresh and deactivate the licence (about once a day) and to check for updates. It sends: the licence key, the site address (home URL), whether it is a multisite network and how many sites it has, and the plugin and WordPress versions. It sends no content, link lists or personal data of your visitors. Store pages checked by the product-monitoring feature are requested directly from your server.

5. Payments: Paddle

Purchases are handled by Paddle.com, which acts as Merchant of Record and as an independent controller for the data it collects at checkout (such as name, email, country, payment details and tax number). Paddle's privacy policy applies to that data. Paddle tells us the order identifiers needed to create your licence and, when you contact us for support, the order details.

6. Cookies and local storage

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or tracking. The Pro plugin stores its licence token and settings in your WordPress database.

7. Service providers

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area or the UK. Where they do, transfers rely on an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

8. Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interest, by writing to support@getlinktender.com. For payment data you can also contact Paddle. You have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Changes

We will publish any changes to this policy on this page with a new date.
